Data Protection Policy
Calm Farm CIC and Calm Farm Community Projects CIC (referred to as ‘Calm Farm’) endeavours to comply fully with Data Protection Legislation and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) in its handling of personal data. We aim to keep your data safely and securely and to use it only for stated purposes. Where you give us personal data through the website in order for us to provide you with a service, your data will be used in connection with that service. In some cases we may hold data for use in connection with future contacts you may make with the Calm Farm.
For example, data obtained during your service application process may be linked with data subsequently collected if you attend any of the services we provide and become a ‘service user’. We do not sell or give your data to other organisations for marketing purposes. We may pass some of your data to other organisations if this is required by law, is necessary for the prevention or detection of crime or is necessary in order to provide particular services to you.
Please note that in most cases Calm Farm is unable to disclose information about service users in response to third party requests without the prior written consent of the individual concerned, unless it is necessary to do so in order to comply with legal requirements or to prevent or detect crime.
Cookies may be used on some parts of the Calm Farm website. These are small pieces of information that are sent to your computer (unless you block them). They are stored on your computer and help us to recognise you if you return to our site at a later stage. This can save you time on future visits by storing information you may have previously entered onto our site.
When someone visits our website we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.
