Rachel Streeter

Rachel Streeter is the Founder & Director of Calm Farm. She is a qualified Counsellor & Hypnotherapist. Rachel has over twenty years experience of working as a mental health practitioner, with specialist experience of bereavement, loss & trauma. She has extensive experience of working with children & young people as well as those with challenging behaviour through developing & delivering a wide range of dynamic workshops that encourage social inclusive, creative learning & promote health & well-being.

Rachel comes from a very creative background with broad experience in singing and performing and has acheived a BA Honours Degree in Music & a Diploma in Performing Arts. She has delivered many singing & music workshops for children & young people over the years and has developed a wide range of stimulating music & sensory groups for young children & those with PMLD.

Casey Rider

Casey RiderCalm Farm Project Coordinator

Casey Rider started as one of our valued volunteers then moved into a PA role and now firmly takes her place as Calm Farms Project Coordinator. She holds a  Psychology and Criminology Degree from the University of Brighton. Casey also completed an Access to Higher Education course in Humanities that included Psychology, Social Work and Social Policy. Casey has always felt passionately about maintaining a healthy lifestyle through exercise and fitness and believes this truly helps nourish the mind body and soul. Casey also comes from a holistic and spiritual background and aims to incorporate this positive and compassionate mind-set in her work.

Matt Davey

Inclusive sports Coordinator, Youth leader and Workshop facilitator.

Matt is a fully qualified youth and community worker. He has 15 years experience of managing projects, managing staff teams, working in the field of outreach/detached work, supporting parents and children and working with a range stakeholders/partners within Children’s Services, East Sussex County Council. He has a very high success rate and specialises in working with the hard to reach and challenging young people. He has worked with young people in one to one situations and group work. He has managed successful teams and has won many awards for the achievements of these teams. Matt is the founder of AIR and is the senior facilitator for all sports inclusion activities with children and young people.

Brad Gross

Brad GrossHealth & Wellbeing Workshop Facilitator.

Brad Gross is our very loud American Workshop Facilitator that loves to entertain a crown as well as educating and delivering hard hitting messages to children and young people. He has delivered a wide range of Health and Wellbeing workshops across Sussex and has done this for more than 10 years in one form or another. He is a born performer and has a crazy love for funky science shows that wow a crown and bring science to life. Brad – who hails from New York – is a former London Science Museum Presenter and Head of Science Outreach at Herstmonceux Observatory in Sussex, not to mention underwater welder, teacher, TV presenter, landscaper, jazz musician and too many other ridiculous jobs to mention. He is now a Co-Director and performer in Blast Science

Julian Humphries

Julian Humphries - Percussion

Drumming and Artistic Facilitator.

Julian has over 30 years experience of drumming as a professional. He has perfected his skills through advanced training in Brazil and Africa and has lead many drumming groups in a variety of settings including festivals, carnivals  and sell-out tours in professional bands.
Julian comes from a very creative background and has often used drama and creative movement in his workshops and projects for children and adults with additional needs. He has worked in a variety of educational settings engaging with all age ranges, from pre-school children to young adults and has extensive experience of running community engagement projects using drumming and drama as a tool for promoting confidence, creativity and self-expression in those he works with.

Alison Wheeler

Alison WheelerHealth & Wellbeing Facilitator & Remarkable Me leader.

Alison has over 10 year’s experience of working as a Creative Arts Facilitator with all ages and abilities from babies, toddlers, children, teenagers to adults. She is a qualified primary school teacher but now works mainly with Music and Movement in a range of different capacities. For the past 7 years she has been leading training and summer camps designed to empower young people to find their creative voice develop skills and build their own sense of self-worth and purpose in the community.
Ali is also a qualified Yoga teacher and holistic therapist and has specialised in Pregnancy and Family Yoga. Working both creatively and therapeutically Ali is experienced in working with individuals and with groups.

Alison Seymour

Alison SeymourMBACP, Dip. Counselling

Alison is an Accreded BACP Counsellor. She has had specific training in working with clients who have suffered rape and sexual assault, and those who have experienced post-natal depression. She is also trained in many other areas including bereavement, psychosexual therapy, trauma, eating disorders and couples counselling. She works extensively with young people from the age of 16.

Robert Goodman

Robert has been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist for over 12 years. He has a warm, welcoming and empathic approach which is non-judgemental and moves at a pace appropriate for each client. Robert has particular interests and expertise in anxiety and stress management, post-traumatic stress disorder, low self-confidence, low self-esteem, youth work and depression. He also specialises in working with men, bullying, psychosexual work, sexual abuse, relationship issues, LGBT work and affirming diversity. As well as working with Calm Farm, Robert also works as a registered SARC counsellor at Mankind counselling in Brighton.

Janet Stead

Janet SteadNLP and Life Coaching Practitioner.

Janet qualified as an NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Practitioner in 2008, in order to share her steps to recovery with others, she also offers Life Coaching, Talking Therapy, Workshops and Training sessions. Janet believes ‘Self Awareness is key to dealing with obstacles in life,’ And wanting to make changes in your life is the first step to gaining that Self Awareness.’
Janet ran her own business at the age of twenty-six, repairing dot matrix printer heads, which can be found in (ATM) cash machines. Due to a traumatic event, she left the company in 1996, having acquired a range of skills, including NLP. However, when sudden illness struck, Janet faced an uncertain future. With the support of her daughter, she turned to what she knew – NLP. She realised that self-motivation and determination play an important part in any recovery.

Anita Lester

Anita Lester Play Therapist Dip UK PTUK (Eastbourne)

Anita is a registered Sandplay Therapist and truly believes in the effectiveness of this non-verbal form of play therapy. Her travels have allowed her the opportunity to work with children both in the Caribbean and England where she has been able to observe the positive effect that sandplay has had despite the huge differences in culture. Anita’s moto is that ‘play is the universal language of children’ and it is though play that they are able to communicate most effectively as well as heal. Anita qualified as a Sandplay Practitioner through Play Therapy UK (PTUK) in 2014 and then further went on to qualify as a Sandplay Therapist with the Association for Sandplay Therapy in America. Her background in music and fine art also helps to shape the therapeutic work that she carries out with children

Maria Lazcano Fuentes

Maria Lazcano Fuentes Clinical Hypnotherapist, NLP, EFT & Matrix Reimpriting, EMDR with Hypnosis, Gestalt with Hypnosis.

Maria specialises in helping children over 14 years of age and adults, who need to build their self-esteem and confidence, overcome anxiety, panic attacks or limiting beliefs and fears that are holding them back in their life. She offers the “BAGC6″ The Beat Anxiety and Gain Confidence 6 Steps Programme”, which aims to uproot and resolve the origin of the client’s anxiety, unhelpful beliefs and fears at the fastest possible way and using a wide combination of techniques.
